Board of Trustees
The Cotton Electric Cooperative Board of Directors consists of nine members, including one from each district of the eight-county service territory. The current board includes: Warren Langford, CEO; Ken Layn, Marlow; Thomas J. Jones, Jr., Duncan; Marvin Scherler, Walters; David Butler, Lawton, Secretary-Treasurer; Tim McCary, Chattanooga, Vice President; Charles Spencer, Elgin, President; Dewayne High, Walters; Shan Files, Velma; Ronnie Bohot, Ryan.

SHAN FILES represents District #1 and resides in Velma. Mr. Files, appointed to the board in May 2010, is a farmer-rancher and his family owns an oilfield construction business. He and his wife, Starlet, have two children. |

KEN LAYN represents District #2 and lives in Marlow. Appointed in April 2010, Mr. Layn is superintendent of Red River Technology Center in Duncan. He and his wife, Sharon, have two daughters. |

CHARLES SPENCER represents District #3 and resides in Elgin. Mr. Spencer, a farmer-rancher, was appointed to the board in January, 2000. He and his wife, Janis, have two sons and two daughters.

DAVID BUTLER represents District #4 and resides in the Medicine Park area. Mr. Butler, an attorney, was appointed to the board in 2007. He and his wife, Karen, have two children.

TIM McCARY represents District #5 from his home in Chattanooga. Mr. McCary is farmer-rancher and has served on the Board since 1977. He and his wife, Susan, have a son and a daughter. |

THOMAS J. JONES, JR. represents District #6 and lives in Duncan. Mr. Jones has served on the Board since 1984. He and his wife, Kaye, have two daughters and one son. Mr. Jones' business interests include oil production, banking and real estate. |

MARVIN SCHERLER represents District #7 and resides west of Walters. Mr. Scherler has served over 40 years on the Board and is farmer-rancher. He and his wife, Trecyl, have one daughter and two sons. |

DEWAYNE HIGH represents District #8 and resides in Walters. Mr. High was elected to the board in 1999 and is a local businessman and farmer. He and his wife, Lavonne, have three sons. |

RONNIE BOHOT represents District #9 and lives in Hastings. Mr. Bohot, a farmer-rancher, was appointed to the board in August 2009. He and his wife, Belinda, have two sons. |
