Security Lighting

Cotton Electric Cooperative has lit up the countryside with security lights for many years, much to the homeowners' content. These lights are available for a nominal fee to Cotton Electric members. The following requirements are required for Cotton's light lease plan:

• Light must be installed on an existing pole.
• Should the member desire a location other than an existing pole, the cost of installation shall be determined by figuring the cost of labor and materials installed, plus digging and hauling charges. These charges will be incurred by the consumer. The wire, pole, and material will become the property of the consumer.
• The monthly charges for Outdoor Lighting are dependent upon the type of light and the installation location. If a light is installed on the Cooperative's side of the meter, the monthly charge is billed at the unmetered rate. If a light is installed on the member's side of the meter, the metered rate is charged.
