Youth Tour
Imagine spending a week exploring our nation’s capital, meeting students from across Oklahoma, visiting historic landmarks, and gaining experiences that will last a lifetime—all at no cost to you!
The Oklahoma Youth Tour is a week-long, all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., sponsored by Cotton Electric Cooperative and electric cooperatives across Oklahoma. The contest is open to any high school junior who lives in or attends school within the Cotton Electric service area.
Students selected for Youth Tour will have the opportunity to tour some of the nation’s most iconic sites, learn about American history and government firsthand, develop leadership skills, and build friendships with students from across the state and country. Along the way, they’ll gain a deeper understanding of how electric cooperatives serve their communities and the important role they play in rural America.
Youth Tour is sponsored by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives , and participating Oklahoma electric cooperatives, including Cotton Electric.

Energy Camp
Looking for an unforgettable summer experience? Energy Camp gives eighth-grade students the chance to make new friends, build leadership skills, and discover the exciting world of electricity—all while having fun in the great outdoors.
Sponsored by Oklahoma’s electric cooperatives, this unique camp experience takes place at Canyon Camp near Hinton, Oklahoma. Students will spend several days participating in activities such as swimming, hiking, team competitions, and other outdoor adventures while connecting with students from across the state.
Energy Camp also offers hands-on opportunities to learn about the electric cooperative industry. Campers will watch live safety demonstrations, climb a utility pole, hear from cooperative leaders, and explore how electricity powers our communities. Through interactive activities, students will work together to create and operate their own cooperative business, developing teamwork, communication, and leadership skills along the way.
From lifelong friendships to unforgettable experiences, Energy Camp is a summer adventure students won't want to miss!
